With over 25 years of experience in the field of psychiatry, Dr. Illesinghe has dedicated his career to advancing mental health care through clinical practice, leadership, and education.
His extensive background includes prestigious roles such as Clinical Director at Melbourne Health, Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne, and serving as The Chief Psychiatrist for Victoria. For the last 15 years he was the director of Mental Health Services in Buderim Private Hospital.
Trained internationally in Sri Lanka and the UK, he brings a global perspective to psychotherapies, developmental psychiatry, and addiction psychiatry. His approach is deeply rooted in a multi-disciplinary model of care, particularly effective for complex clinical cases.
